2025 Academy Awards Nominations Unveiled Amid LA Wildfires

After several delays caused by the raging wildfires that have swept through Los Angeles in recent weeks, the nominations for the 2025 Academy Awards were announced this Thursday in a virtual event devoid of press and audience attendance. Comedians Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott led the announcement of the nominees, which will culminate in a ceremony set for Sunday, March 2, at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year’s 97th edition will be hosted by the beloved television presenter and comedian Conan O’Brien, a familiar face in American entertainment.
