Actress Elisa Mouliáa Accuses Íñigo Errejón of Sexual Assault, Claims Possible Drugging
Actress Elisa Mouliáa has made serious allegations against former politician Íñigo Errejón, suggesting that he may have drugged her during an alleged sexual assault. Testifying before a judge, Mouliáa expressed her concerns, stating that she did not rule out the possibility that Errejón slipped a substance into her drink. In her emotional hour-long testimony, she described incidents dating back to September 2021, which began after Errejón invited her to the launch of his book—a conversation they had maintained via social media for a year.
As the night progressed, after sharing a beer at a nearby bar, Mouliáa reported feeling increasingly uncomfortable. She claims that despite telling Errejón she had to attend a friend's party, he insisted on joining her. Once at the party, she alleges he provided her with two or three drinks, subsequently leading her to suspect he may have compromised her safety by drugging the beverages.
Mouliáa recounted her growing disorientation and unease, stating that she felt intoxicated far too soon. A particularly alarming moment occurred in a private room where Errejón allegedly attempted to undress and touch her against her will. Responding to his advances, she insisted that 'this was no way to treat a woman.'
The actress managed to leave the tense situation after receiving a call from her daughter's father, but not before confronting Errejón. She reportedly told him, "Íñigo, only 'yes' means 'yes.' It's hard to believe this is happening to me with you."
In response to questions about the delay in her reporting the incident, Mouliáa disclosed that her psychologist had advised her to wait until she was ready to speak out. She was also spurred to come forward after hearing anonymous reports from other women who had suffered sexual assault. However, despite understanding the importance of anonymity for survivors, she recognized the need to attach her name to her experiences, which have become pivotal in the ongoing conversation about consent.
Mouliáa admitted that if she had known the level of turmoil her report would create, she might have thought twice before proceeding. Disputes regarding her past, including a dismissed complaint against her ex-husband, were raised by Errejón’s defense team. The judge permitted her to address these queries as they were part of public record.
Upon exiting the courthouse, Mouliáa shared with the media that it has been a challenging journey to relive these events. She expressed her trust in the judicial system as it navigates this serious matter. The unfolding investigation underscores the complexities and emotional weight faced by survivors of alleged sexual assault, highlighting the critical need for a supportive environment as they seek justice.
