Confessed Killer Faces Provisional Detention in Mocejón Tragedy

The Investigating Court number 3 of Toledo has ordered the provisional detention of the individual confessed to murdering 11-year-old Mateo, who tragically lost his life while playing football with friends at a local sports center. The judge has charged the accused with murder and has explicitly denied bail.

Reports indicate that the accused's father revealed that his son suffers from a 75% intellectual disability and was enrolled in a special education center in Madrid. Upon his arrest, police noticed that the young man was experiencing delirium, struggling to communicate coherently.

In light of the circumstances, the investigating magistrate has requested that penitentiary institutions transfer the accused to a facility better suited for his disability. The secrecy surrounding the case has now been lifted, allowing more details to emerge as the investigation progresses.

Key developments include the ongoing analysis of a kitchen knife discovered at the scene. Furthermore, a significant piece of evidence is being evaluated: a second knife that was found by a municipal cleaning service worker about 30 meters from the residence of the confessed perpetrator. This knife was reportedly indicated by a canine unit as potentially containing human biological remains.

Investigators are also examining a spreading knife, which was claimed to be lost by a neighbor, but it has since been discarded as a potential weapon in this tragic case. The Civil Guard continues to search for additional evidence around the sports facility, hoping to uncover more details that could shed light on this unfortunate incident and bring justice for young Mateo.
