Denmark's Solar Revolution: Displacing Wind Power and Shifting Electricity Prices

This daylight discount offers a stark contrast to the evening rates; for instance, shortly after sunset, the prices can skyrocket, with rates peaking at about 146 kr per kWh between 7 PM and 8 PM, according to data from the Nord Pool electricity exchange.

This shift in pricing is prompting a new approach for electricity consumers. No longer is it sufficient to simply adhere to the old adage about nighttime savings. Instead, individuals are encouraged to stay informed about weather patterns and to utilize apps that provide real-time updates on hourly electricity prices.
