Easter Weather Forecast: Sunny Skies and Rising Temperatures Across Spain

Aemet has confirmed that the weather will be stable throughout nearly all of Spain during the Easter holidays. Most regions, including the peninsula, the Balearic Islands, Ceuta, and Melilla, can expect clear skies, allowing holidaymakers to enjoy their time without significant weather-related disruptions. Only the northern third of the country will experience some rainfall throughout the week, particularly in areas like the Cantabrian slope, the upper Ebro, and the Pyrenees, where temperatures may also dip below normal for this time of year. The majority of the peninsula will benefit from the stabilizing effects of the Azores anticyclone, resulting in predominantly sunny conditions. As temperatures rise, many will welcome the springtime weather, which is characterized by warm days but cooler nights. For those planning trips to southern Spain during Easter, especially to partake in traditional processions, it is advisable to monitor temperatures closely to pack accordingly. Daytime weather is expected to be typically spring-like, promoting high temperatures, while nights will see a noticeable drop in temperature. With the recent time change, longer afternoons signal the arrival of warmer weather—an atmosphere many have eagerly awaited. While it might seem premature for summer attire, it’s time to bring out the fans and short sleeves! Today, Monday, temperatures will remain mild across much of the country. However, starting Tuesday, we anticipate inland Andalusian areas to exceed 25ºC, with provinces like Huelva and Badajoz reaching similar levels. The islands of Gran Canaria and Lanzarote will also see temperatures climbing to 25ºC. Looking ahead to Wednesday, Seville may even hit 27ºC, with Extremadura and Murcia likely remaining around 25ºC. Evening temperatures in these regions are expected to be cooler, ranging from 8ºC to 12ºC. The trend will continue throughout Easter, with Sunday projected to be the hottest day, peaking at 29ºC in Extremadura and 28ºC in inland Andalusia. In other parts of the peninsula, Easter will deliver pleasant daytime temperatures, complemented by cool nights in several regions. Overall, this Easter looks promising in terms of weather, enhancing the enjoyment of the season's festivities. Related Sources: • Source 1 • Source 2
