Explosion at ArcelorMittal's Gijón Plant Injures Three Workers

At least three workers from the auxiliary company Daorje have been injured in an explosion that occurred in the coke batteries of ArcelorMittal in Gijón, sources from the multinational steel company have informed EFE. The explosion took place after 2:00 PM at the end of battery 1, specifically at the anti-explosion valves of the feed gas, according to the provided information.

Sources from ArcelorMittal in Asturias revealed that the fire has already been contained by the company's own fire extinguishing service. The affected workers, who provide auxiliary services to ArcelorMittal, were injured and have since been evacuated for medical attention.
