France and USA Pledge Continued Support to Ukraine Amid Russian Aggression

During a recent visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Paris, both French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Joe Biden pledged further military and political support to Ukraine in its ongoing conflict against aggressor Russia. Macron promised to deliver Mirage fighter jets to Ukraine and initiate training for Ukrainian pilots and mechanics on operating the aircraft. On the other hand, Biden apologized for delays in US aid and announced a new military package worth 225 million USD for Kyiv. While France is actively engaging with partner countries to provide military trainers and support, the US government maintains that it will not send American soldiers to Ukraine. The commitment to Ukraine from both France and the US comes amidst escalating tensions with Russia, who continues its aggressive actions in the region.
