Heavy Rain Causes Severe Flooding in Minsk, Disrupting Public Transportation

Heavy rain on July 18 led to severe flooding in the Belarusian capital, Minsk, disrupting 46 public transportation routes. The Emergencies Ministry reported that two subway stations were briefly shut down due to the floods, which affected 38 segments of streets, one parking site, one building, and two underpasses in the city. Rescue teams are currently working to pump out the water from the affected sites.

The impact of the flooding has caused significant disruptions to the daily commute of residents in Minsk. The sudden deluge of water has not only affected the roads and public transportation routes but has also posed challenges for the infrastructure in the city.
