Historic Strike: U.S. Military Targets Iran's Nuclear Sites Amid Global Tensions
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly expressed his gratitude to U.S. President Donald Trump for a significant military operation executed by the U.S. Armed Forces against Iran’s primary nuclear facilities located in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordo. In a speech shared on his social media platform, Netanyahu hailed Trump’s decisive action as a pivotal moment in history.
Netanyahu stated, "Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to attack Iran's nuclear facilities with the imposing and just power of the United States will change history." The communication between the two leaders was underscored by a recent phone call following the operation, characterized by Netanyahu as both warm and emotional.
In his commendation, Netanyahu deemed the U.S. attack a historic milestone, elaborating that the bombings effectively denied what he described as the world's most dangerous regime access to the most dangerous weapons. He invoked a common belief between him and Trump, saying, "Peace is achieved with strength. First comes strength, then comes peace." He extended his thanks to Trump, affirming, "The people of Israel thank you" for the actions taken. Furthermore, he praised the U.S. military's performance during the mission, stating, "Israel has accomplished amazing things, but tonight the United States has been truly unstoppable. It has done what no other country in the world could do."
In a concurrent response, Israeli President Isaac Herzog emphasized that the principles of freedom, responsibility, and security had prevailed. He expressed hope that this crucial action would enhance the security of the entire free world, leading to a better future in the Middle East and aiding in the urgent release of hostages held in Gaza.
President Trump confirmed the strike, remarking on the magnitude of the attacks, particularly on Fordo, which he stated was "gone" following the operation. In retaliation, Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (AEOI) condemned the attacks on its nuclear development centers, vowing to continue its national industry’s development despite these actions.
In response to the ongoing tensions, Israeli airport authorities have announced a temporary closure of airspace for all landings and takeoffs, underlining that it will only reopen when deemed safe, with notifications to be provided six hours in advance. Ground borders with Jordan and Egypt, however, remain operational for freight and passenger transit.
As the international community watches closely, the ramifications of this military action could reverberate beyond the Middle East, potentially reshaping diplomatic relationships and security strategies across the globe.
