Born on February 7, 1984, in Lora del Río, Seville, Díaz Cañete held a degree in Journalism from the University of Seville. Her political career took a significant turn in June 2022 when she entered the Andalusian Parliament after the PP achieved an absolute majority in the recent regional elections.
Before her role in parliament, she made significant contributions as a delegated councilor and first deputy mayor in the City Council of Lora del Río from June 2019 to July 2022. In those positions, she was instrumental in overseeing vital areas such as Urbanism, Finance, Personnel, Education, Citizenship, and Culture. Her commitment to her hometown was evident in her previous role as chief of staff to the mayor from November 2016 to June 2019.
