Investigation Underway in Violent Death of Woman in Roquetas de Mar; 72-Year-Old Arrested
The Civil Guard is currently investigating the violent death of a woman in Roquetas de Mar, Almeria, an incident that occurred last Friday night. Early reports indicate that the victim, a woman over the age of 56, was assaulted around 10:00 PM on Sierpes Street. A 72-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder, as authorities believe he may have links to the case.
Sources indicate that the woman died due to multiple stab wounds. The arrested suspect required medical attention after he reportedly attempted to take his own life by ingesting medication. Fortunately, he survived the incident and was transported to a nearby hospital. In a significant turn of events, the man admitted to the act of homicide.
