King Charles to Host Emmanuel Macron for State Visit in July 2025
Buckingham Palace has announced that King Charles will host French President Emmanuel Macron for a state visit to the United Kingdom from July 8th to July 10th, 2025. The announcement was made official by the palace, which confirmed that President Macron, accompanied by Mrs. Brigitte Macron, has accepted the invitation extended by His Majesty the King. The couple will be residing at Windsor Castle during their stay.
This upcoming visit marks a significant diplomatic engagement, warmly following King Charles and Queen Camilla's state visit to France in September 2023. The last time a French president visited the UK for a state event was back in March 2008, when then-President Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, were guests of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
In related news, King Charles is also slated to host former US President Donald Trump for a state visit, as per an invitation presented by UK Labour Leader Keir Starmer in February at the White House. However, details regarding the timing of that visit have yet to be officially confirmed.
More updates are expected to be released as the dates approach, signaling a notable period of diplomacy and international relations for the United Kingdom.
