During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Moscow, the Kremlin strategically conveyed an image of friendliness and closeness. Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed Modi at his residence in Novo-Ogaryovo, where they walked through the garden, had tea on the terrace, and even visited Putin's horses in the stable. This visit, the first since 2019, holds significant importance for Russia. Putin awarded Modi the highest Russian state order for his achievements and highlighted plans for comprehensive joint projects in trade, defense industry, nuclear and fossil energy, high technology, and space exploration. The leaders also agreed to increase bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030 and to enhance military-technical cooperation and spare parts production in India. Putin disclosed that trade between Russia and India alone had surged by 60 percent in 2023, indicating a strengthening partnership between the two nations.
