Madrid Court Summons Ayuso's Partner for Tax Fraud and Forgery
The presiding judge of the 19th court in Madrid, Inmaculada Iglesias, has made headlines with a significant ruling in the ongoing tax fraud case involving Alberto González Amador, the partner of the president of the Community of Madrid. The judge has summoned González Amador as an accused party for two serious tax crimes and forgery of documents, with the hearing set for November 29 at 10 AM, as reported by La SER.
The case includes four alleged frontmen, namely Eduardo Niederer, Agustín Carrillo, David Herrera, and José Miguel Carrillo, who are accused of fabricating false invoices to assist González Amador in reducing his business profits. This alleged scheme has reportedly defrauded the tax authority out of a staggering 350,000 euros over a span of two years.
As the legal proceedings unfold, it has come to light that González Amador is currently in negotiations with the Prosecutors Office regarding a settlement. He is considering accepting a deal that would require him to pay 525,000 euros and serve an eight-month imprisonment, a resolution that might allow him to avoid an actual prison sentence.
Interestingly, the judge has opened an additional investigation into whether González Amador may have committed further crimes pertaining to corruption in business or disloyal administration. The scrutiny stems from allegations that he used the front company Masterman SL to conceal payments from the Quirón group, thus defrauding the tax authorities.
Moreover, during the previous year, González Amador's tax declarations, utilizing the contested tax scheme, resulted in a refund of over 291,000 euros from the tax authorities. This revelation has intensified the focus on his financial dealings and raised questions regarding the legitimacy of his business practices.
The developments in this case not only spotlight the alleged misdeeds of an influential partner of a prominent political figure but also raise broader concerns about tax compliance and corruption within the higher echelons of business and government. As the court date approaches, many will be watching closely to see how this high-profile case unfolds and what implications it may have for the political landscape in Madrid.
