Nestlé Launches Massive Recall of Infant Formula Due to Quality Concerns

In a significant move, food giant Nestlé has initiated a large-scale recall of infant formula across multiple continents, affecting certain batches of the brands Beba and Alfamino. The recall was triggered following the identification of a quality issue related to an ingredient sourced from a leading supplier. Nestlé Germany confirmed the potential risk in a recent statement, emphasizing that examinations are being conducted on all potentially affected infant food products. The recall, deemed precautionary, spans various European countries including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. According to Nestlé, the concern stems from the possible presence of Cereulid, a toxin produced by bacteria that can lead to symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and severe fatigue.
