The Mossos d'Esquadra have apprehended a man following a shocking incident of domestic violence that occurred on Monday in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, a municipality in the Barcelona metropolitan area. The suspect, identified as Michael Antonio R. D., a 30-year-old Ecuadorian, allegedly amputated the hand of his partner, 35-year-old Spanish woman Jennifer G., during a disagreement at their residence on Salzereda Avenue.

The attack took place around 4:30 PM, after which the assailant fled the scene. In a swift response, the Mossos d'Esquadra, in coordination with local police, launched a manhunt to locate him.
