Paulo Dybala to Undergo Surgery Following Injury
AS Roma's Argentine forward, Paulo Dybala, is set to undergo surgery on his left semitendinosus tendon in the coming days, following an injury sustained during a recent match. The club issued a statement confirming the news on Thursday, expressing that both the player and the club have agreed that this is the best course of action for a successful recovery.
Dybala, who is 31 years old, suffered the injury during AS Roma's 10-0 home victory against Cagliari last Sunday. He came on as a second-half substitute but had to leave the field just 13 minutes later due to discomfort in his thigh.
The forward has played a pivotal role in AS Roma's resurgence in Italy's Serie A, helping the team climb to seventh place under the management of Claudio Ranieri, who returned to coaching in November. At that time, the club was precariously positioned just four points above the relegation zone.
AS Roma extended their well wishes to Dybala, hoping for a speedy recovery and expressing eagerness to see him back on the pitch soon.
