Raphael Exits Hospital Following False Stroke Alarm: What We Know
Singer Raphael has been assured by medical professionals that he did not suffer a stroke, according to a report from the San Carlos Clinical Hospital. The news comes after an urgent neurological evaluation ruled out a cerebrovascular incident as the cause of his recent hospitalization. Instead, the hospital stated that further tests will be necessary to establish the origin of his health issues. Raphael’s wife, Natalia Figueroa, mentioned that the singer feels well after experiencing what could have been a cerebrovascular episode during a recording session at Teatro Príncipe Gran Vía.
On Tuesday, while recording a special Christmas program for 'La revuelta', Raphael began feeling unwell and decided to seek medical assistance himself. Emergency personnel arrived promptly at the theater, located at 8 Tres Cruces Street, where he initially experienced distress. Following the incident, he was transferred to the hospital under cautious observation, slated with a reserved prognosis as medical staff awaited further developments.
In a recent statement, the San Carlos Clinical Hospital announced that at the request of Raphael and his family, he will be moved to Hospital 12 de Octubre for continuous medical follow-up. The singer has a transplant history associated with this hospital, which is why the family prioritized his transfer there for ongoing care.
Raphael, who is celebrated not just for his music but also for his long-standing marriage to Natalia Figueroa since 1972, has three children and eight grandchildren, adding a deeply personal facet to his life in the public eye. Fans and supporters continue to wish him well as he navigates this health scare, looking forward to his recovery and return to the stage.
