Spanish Government Responds to Nationwide Power Outage
On Monday, President Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by his third vice president, Sara Aagesen, visited the Control Center of Red Eléctrica to assess the ongoing situation following a power supply failure that has affected all of mainland Spain. The visit came after a morning meeting at the Palace of Moncloa with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides.
According to government sources, President Sánchez and Vice President Aagesen, who also serves as the Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, aimed to understand the situation better and oversee the response efforts. The Government has stated that it is actively working to identify the cause and extent of the power outage and is deploying all necessary resources to restore service promptly.
Furthermore, the Government assured the public that it will provide updates as soon as reliable and verified information becomes available.
