Supreme Court Calls Key Witnesses in Ávaro García Ortiz Investigation

In a significant development in the case against the Attorney General of the State, Álvaro García Ortiz, the Supreme Court magistrate Ángel Hurtado has summoned key figures to testify. The chief prosecutor of Madrid, Almudena Lastra, and the economic crimes prosecutor, Julián Salto, are scheduled to appear as witnesses on January 16.

This investigation revolves around allegations that García Ortiz has been involved in the unauthorized revelation of confidential information. These claims have been brought forth by Alberto González Amador, who is a partner of the President of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

In an order issued and reported by Europa Press, the magistrate has also summoned the communication directors from both the Madrid Community Prosecutors Office and the Attorney General’s Office to provide their testimonies on January 21.
