The Offspring Announces Concerts in Spain with Simple Plan as Opening Act
The beloved veteran band The Offspring will make a much-anticipated return to Spain, performing two concerts as part of their world tour in September 2025. Fans in Madrid and Badalona can look forward to shows on the 26th and 27th at the Palacio Vistalegre and the Olimpic Arena, respectively.
These performances are especially exciting for enthusiasts of the early 2000s pop punk revival, as they will be joined by the Canadian group Simple Plan, known for their catchy hits and youthful energy.
The Offspring, popularized by anthems such as "Come Out And Play" and "Self Esteem," last performed in these cities during festival appearances in 2023. However, this tour marks the band's first headline show in over a decade, making it a significant event for long-time supporters. Concertgoers can expect over an hour and a half of high-energy music, featuring classic tracks and selections from their recently released album, "Supercharged."
Fans will be thrilled to hear not just their nostalgic favorites, including the iconic "Somebody Once Told Me" from the Shrek soundtrack, but also new material demonstrating the band's evolution over the years.
General ticket sales will open this Friday, October 18, at 10 AM via the promoter CapCap's website. Additionally, there will be presale opportunities available: those who have purchased the new album can access tickets starting Tuesday, October 15, while attendees with passes to the 2025 Resurrection Fest festival can begin purchasing on Thursday.
With a storied history spanning over four decades—since their beginnings in 1984 under different monikers and their self-titled debut album release in 1989—the Offspring has greatly influenced the punk and pop-punk landscape. Their second album, "Ignition," released in 1992, laid the groundwork for their groundbreaking 1994 album, "Smash," which propelled them to global fame and solidified their place in music history.
Make sure to mark your calendars for a chance to see these rock legends perform live!
