Tragic Incident at Fairgrounds: Two-Year-Old Girl Dies from Electric Shock

A tragic incident unfolded early Sunday morning in the Murcian district of Alquerías, where a two-year-old girl lost her life after suffering an electric shock on a fair ride. This heart-wrenching event also left three other minors injured, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center. At exactly midnight, emergency services received a call from the fairgrounds indicating that a girl had been electrocuted and was reportedly unconscious and bleeding from the nose.

A local police patrol, which was already present in the area, confirmed the girl's state of unconsciousness and urgently requested medical assistance. Upon arriving, the emergency personnel were notified that three additional minors, aged 8, 11, and 12, had also sustained injuries but were conscious.

Despite an hour of unsuccessful cardiopulmonary resuscitation efforts, the medical team confirmed the two-year-old girl's death at 1:16 am. The three injured minors—a girl of 8, along with two boys aged 11 and 12—received immediate treatment at the fairgrounds before being transported to the hospital by their own means. Additionally, a 29-year-old woman was assisted for an anxiety attack following the incident.

The Civil Guard mobilized a patrol to assist in the emergency response and to investigate the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate accident. As the community mourns the tragic loss of a young life, authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of attractions and prevent such incidents in the future.
