Ukraine Seeks Support Amid Renewed Air Strikes and Calls for Ceasefire
Ukraine has received promising news regarding the resumption of US arms deliveries from a Polish base, as confirmed by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski during a press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha. However, the battle for air superiority remains a critical concern for Ukraine, which has faced relentless attacks from Russia, claiming daily bombardments and significant civilian casualties.
Sikorski stated that arms deliveries have returned to previous levels, a much-needed boost for Ukraine amidst the ongoing conflict. Sybiha highlighted the urgent requirements of the Ukrainian forces, emphasizing the need for electronic jammers, advanced defense missiles, and modern technology to enhance the capabilities of Ukraine's aging MiG-29 fighter jets. So far, limited deliveries of F-16s and Mirage 2000 jets have reached Ukrainian hands, leaving them at a disadvantage against Russia's aerial dominance.
The situation in the skies above Ukraine is bleak, with continuous Russian drone assaults taking a heavy toll.
